Matthew 7:1-7(nkjv)Do Not Judge7 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. 6 “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces. I don't know how often we come across this passage or when we come across it in the bible do we really read it with open eyes, open mind and open heart? There is no need to explain it the much because the passage clearly delivered it. How often do we look on other people with judgement while we don't examine our own inner being? How often do we check and notice what is wrong with other people while we never tried to correct what is wrong with us? A principle I am trying my best to live by is to do what I say. I always believe that the only way we can direct and correct people with the discipline and rules we implement is if we ourselves are following the rules we have set. It will be very superficial to tell somebody that what they are doing is wrong while you yourself you know you are doing the same thing. I don't know how often we talk about someone with regards of their failures, mistakes and flaws but one thing is for sure we are all guilty of it. Some may be less and some may be doing if often but nevertheless it is the same thing. The word says, that the amount of judgement, condemnation and critisism we have given to our neighbour will be the same amount that we receive back. The same depth and the same timeline, whatever measured you have used. So, today be careful. Lord! Forgive us in whatever judgement we have given to our brothers and sisters. Help us to be a better person by trying to see good thing about other people. Help us, that we may always open our eyes to the possibility of whatever you can do to the people to change them and may we close our eyes on only seeing the negative thing. Lord put in our Hearts the possitive view of life and view upon the people. Help us to bring encouragement and inspiration not to tear people down. Help us to love more and hate less. In Jesus Name. Amen! |
