James 5:1-8(NKJV)
5 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you!2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. 4 Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. 5 You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as[b] in a day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you. 7 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. 8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. In the previous verses, James reminded us that we only have 1 life to live, that can be taken back from us instantly. Now he continue warning the rich; In Matthew 19:24 it is written that "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." Brothers and sisters, today I pray that we will not waste our one and only borrowed life by storing riches of this world. God protect our hearts that we may not desire to have and gain more in this earthly home but God mould our hearts in a position of increase in a supernatural realm. Teach us Lord to be contented but never satisfied on serving and growing in faith. Do not let our life be corrupted by the rotten and rusted wealth of this earth but bless us Lord just enough for your blessing to flow for your people. May we all be a channel of blessings and not a keeper of blessings. Let us invest in the kingdom riches by all together be united in bringing the light to the dark and spread the gospel for the lost. #3000andbeyond is not just a figure, it is more than a goal but it is a reminder for each and everyone of us that there are still more than that number of souls still lost out there. When you see that 3000 what do you feel? It may be easier to see the fruit of our labor in a worldly tasks, the measurement of our success maybe easier to witness when it is very tangible. It may be difficult to sustain a spiritial labor wherein we see very few spiritual fruits but God said thru James, "you also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand." What do you feel when you read that? There is a sense of urgency here my friends! It is time to move up, step up and take an act and leap of faith to really make it our lifestyle to preach the gospel through our lives. I pray that we will all have our kainos life this year moving forward to a life full of adventure with the Lord. In Jesus Name! Amen. If God comes today? What do you think you want Him seeing you doing? 😊 Are you being impatient of the fruit of your labor? Wait. Be patient. God is in your side. 😊 |
