When we grow older in our ministry we will begin to grow in maturity in our faith. I discover that the best way to help yourself to be more like Christ is always position yourself thinking ahead that when we carry the "Christian" bloodline in our vein and carry around a signboard about it people will never see us the same. They will never look who Peter or Paul is but definitely everything we do and say will reflect back to our Saviour. If we follow Christ by faith we will believe that He can change us in all aspect when we fully surrender. They say, when we try to follow someone we often have that tendency to be almost the same person we follow. Look at elijah and elisha. So, if we FOLLOW CHRIST i believe it will be the same thing.
If you will read the whole chapter 1 of The book of Hebrew (Hebrew 11:1-40) you will see many names of those who have been faithful in their lives until the very end. Nobody on those names was perfect. They all fall short. They all did all kinds of sin but what made them get in the list of the "HONOR ROLL OF THE FAITHFUL"? That is their faith that no matter how many times they fail and fall their hearts always longed to go back in the very heart of God. They always go back to the heart of worship. That faith that they will be forgiven. For us who are living now in the new covenant, it is for us to walk closely to Jesus no matter what. I believe that when we get closer and closer to our Saviour that is the only way to really know His very Heart. Our Father knows us all. We all came from Him and I am sure He will definitely want to see us to be more of His likenes like how He first created mankind. Today, who are you presenting in the World? The real you in the flesh or the real you in Christ? We can all be real, but of which? Today i pray that all of us will be able to define our real identity in Christ. We need to die in our flesh to let that whole new us take over. Today, if at the end will still have that HONOR ROLL OF THE FAITHFUL, will you be there? Will people remember you as someone who live his/her life so close to the Father? Or people will remember a christian that says he/she is a son and daughter of the most High but never see that traits of the father in every words, every actions and every decisions that you have made? Who are you following today? The trendings in social media or the steps of Jesus written in bible? Really? Have you ponder about it? "We should live our lives not trying to protect our very own integrity because morals will fail in one point; but to always protect the integrity of CHRIST who live within us, who will never ever fail us." - Wilmie |
