This is a picture of a beautiful family. I cried while leaving their house last thursday afternoon. It's amazing how you learn from the people in many ways. These mozambican family of Papa Joao is a picture of Jesus Love. The moment you enter the house and see the family instantly you will feel it. I'm overwhelmed of their heart and generosity. They don't have much in life but they are willing to share whatever they could, wherein many of us got choices of food to eat and choices of clothes to wear but still have a hardened heart to give. The love of Jesus is overflowing in their entire family. From Papa Joao who's so kind to write some portuguese and makoa sentences for me to learn, Mama Elisa who gave us an oppostunity to cook shimah and matapa together with natalia her daughter. What's more awesome is, natalia who's now 9 months pregnant wants to name her baby after me..😭😍 I'm so overwhelmed and honored at the same time. Brother Jeremias (jeremiah) has been very helpful as well in translations and all that because mama elena kinda not also speaking much of portuguese but the tribal dialect. They laugh whenever i try my very little portuguese/spanish conversations. And Mama Elena, the reason why I'm in there house, she's the first mama i get connected when Mama Heidi asked us in our cross-cultural class to be paired with one mozambican mama. She's absolutely so sweet. I might not have much to give this time around unlike when i bought some grocery last time but my 100met was able to buy "kampala" for them to make some beds, i couldn't even buy her flip flops and hers was already broken when we are walking to her house so i end up walking back home barefoot, i left my flip flops with them since i can't buy her one but that taught me alot about Love. I actually enjoyed walking in the dirt barefoot walking for more than 10min knowing she will have something to wear. They don't have much richness of this world but they are super rich of love, generosity and kindness. My Amiga Mama Elena even made me a skirt as a gift for a friend. That totally wrecked me and broke my heart. Because I'm so amazed of their love and generosity. I'm not sure if I will be back in this place but if I do, I will definitely gonna see their family. Their family is full of joy and love, full of Jesus. Amazing! They even called us "FAMILY". One thing we can offer for them is prayer. One of the child have malaria so we prayed for her and by faith she will be healed, I know Jesus is healing her right now, one has fever and back pain and by Faith my Jesus is powerful enough and He will be healed by now and my mama Elena, her heart will be healed from the death of her husband! If you are reading this, it will be awesome to say a little prayer for their family. Speak a prayer of blessing and healing. 😊🙏🏻
It's so nice to have another Joao from bible school to actually accompany me and my friend Katie. I'm so thankful katie went with me to make things possible. It's nice to see two of the siblings are also going to Iris Bible school and they are so helpful as well. What a lovely family full of Jesus. Thank You Jesus for letting me experience this. You are always awesome! Go Low and Slow! Stop for the One! Love looks like something! These lines are the guidelines of Mama Heidi. God made me experienced it all with this lovely family. What can you give? Everyone has something. Choose to love today! 😊😊😊 Love not when it's easy but because of the fact that God loves you and me when we actually sinned against Him. #oneofthebestvillageexperienceofmine #love #lovelookslikesomething #family #friend #relationship #travelforJesus #thankful #blessed #africa #pemba #mozambique #hs24 #iris #onelife #Lifetothefullest #testimonyofGodslove #treasure #capturingthemoment #creatingmemories #followerofJesus How much does it takes to see this long time ago "unreached village" to be reached? Well it takes one "laid down life" to make it happen. Isn't it wonderful to witness such life transformation by the Grace of Jesus Christ only because someone laid down their lives in following Jesus. It's not even a duty but truly an expression of "Love". That's what it takes to follow Jesus.
John 14:15 says, "If you follow Me, keep My commandments." John 14:21/ 23-24 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” 23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. And what is the commandment? Luke 10:27 27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]” There's not even the first and second but it's together. If we really love Jesus with all of our being we will lay down our personal agendas for the sake of the Gospel and love. L.O.V.E is a four letter word that will cause you EVERYTHING. So be careful on saying " I Love You." You might not know what it fully means. Be careful on saying YOU LOVE GOD. Because He will take that seriously and what it means to Love God? Do what He says in His commandment. Is it hard? Well, it only gets hard if you're doing things for a person you are trying to love but it will not feel so hard to do something for someone we really love. When you fall in love you can cross the ocean for the person without taking it as an obligation but an act of LOVE. 😊 #Love #waterbaptism #pemba #africalife #transformed #followerofChrist #thankful #Jesus #africa #Iris #OneLife #Onepurpose #oneGod I'm posting this photo out of many photos to be ahead of all the uploading stuff because this is a very powerful photo of testimony. The story can never get so alive but only to be said in a personal sharing but the story behind this photo and behind this Mama "Maria's" smile is life changing. You wouldn't understand how i thought i'm gonna be hunted for the rest of my life of a flat face with so much death in a person's eyes until God showed up! 😊 let's fast forward the whole day moment that came to pass only the next day in a very brief explanation and let me try a short story.
She was brought in the church, thinks she's crazy, we knew she got demon, prayed for healing, JESUS showed up, we all thought she'S already part of the church, she speaks out without us asking, she's a muslim and it's her first time now she feels better she wants to receive Jesus, we are all shocked, we prayed the sinners prayer, we don't know what to do with her, water baptism is about to happen, we considered asking her to come, right at the moment she fell in the spirit, we prayed and boom she manifested, cried, shout, shake, rattle and roll and everything! Name it! Haha..the demon can't stand the glory of God. The demon tried a good fight but i tell you the victory is with Jesus Always! We kept on waiting for the Pastor but i believe God gave that fight for us. Skip the details, she felt weak rested, we prayed again she throw up but just an air three times, we sang praise of thanksgiving to Jesus in portuguese, makoa and english. The peace of the Lord fell upon her, she slept, still woke up flat face without any smile at all. We did all that we could with wholeheart and faith. i knew she is saved now. I knew Jesus will do the rest and we leave it all to my Jesus. We carry on in the evening activities. I hardly slept that night, i kept on seeing her lifeless expression. So i woke up every now and then. I finally woke up, prayed to God because i knew i will forever be tormented and just worshipped i thought i woke up the whole village, hahaha, but God showed up again and surprise after taking down our tents we saw a new person walking towards us beaming with joy. 😭😍🙏🏻 I cried! She said thanks and ask for more prayer. Jesus is so awesome!!!!!!! I have never been that brave and vulnerable at the same time but it was all worth it. For the Glory of my King and Lord, for the glory of my SAVIOIR who saves. This Mama will never be the same again, why? Because Jesus is now her King. No witch craft anymore, no moslem thing anymore and she's finally going to the church! Awesome!!! Jesus is so awesome! She's so special. Jesus brought her there. I know Jesus brought her there to be delivered and be a testimony for the village, many saw what happened and many knew her. Her family brought her to witch doctors but they can't do anything about it because it is demon. Jesus is the only one that can heal her and my Precious Saviour did exactly what He want to show to His children! All glory to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 It's amazing watching the sunrise today while we are in 4 to 6am prayer schedule. We can get to see the sunrise while we are in the prayer hut. Looking at the photos i took it just hit me how time flies. How in just few minutes it's dark and all of a sudden i can see some shade of blue then orange and then the brightness of the sky. I love how the sky moved in transition. It made me feel the awesomeness and greatness of God. I felt that in the transition of the sky it represent the transition of life as well. I suddenly feels that the darkness of life should also be replace with the brightness of the light of the Lord that takes just in a while. Don't linger in the dark side of life. God made all things so beautiful. Open your eyes and see. Open your heart and feel. Time says, tick tack tick tack! It is time! Turn to God and turn to light! Jesus is the One who makes things bright even in the darkest, hardest and lowest time of life. Smile! There's always a new day with God. 😊
John 1:5 "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." Don't ever let the devil take hold on you. God overcame the world! He is in you! Therefore you are as well an overcomer! Let our life be light and bright that cast away every bit of darkness that the enemy tries to poison our life and even the darkness of other peoples's life. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. - 1 John 4:4 #sunrise #blog #life #nature #prayertime #love #light #sun #pemba #africa #mozambique #HS24 #africatrip2016 #photography #passion #calling #Lifetothefullest #livinglife #life #onelife #onepurpose #oneGod #traveler #travelforacause #missionschool #missiontrip #travel |
