This is a picture of a beautiful family. I cried while leaving their house last thursday afternoon. It's amazing how you learn from the people in many ways. These mozambican family of Papa Joao is a picture of Jesus Love. The moment you enter the house and see the family instantly you will feel it. I'm overwhelmed of their heart and generosity. They don't have much in life but they are willing to share whatever they could, wherein many of us got choices of food to eat and choices of clothes to wear but still have a hardened heart to give. The love of Jesus is overflowing in their entire family. From Papa Joao who's so kind to write some portuguese and makoa sentences for me to learn, Mama Elisa who gave us an oppostunity to cook shimah and matapa together with natalia her daughter. What's more awesome is, natalia who's now 9 months pregnant wants to name her baby after me..😭😍 I'm so overwhelmed and honored at the same time. Brother Jeremias (jeremiah) has been very helpful as well in translations and all that because mama elena kinda not also speaking much of portuguese but the tribal dialect. They laugh whenever i try my very little portuguese/spanish conversations. And Mama Elena, the reason why I'm in there house, she's the first mama i get connected when Mama Heidi asked us in our cross-cultural class to be paired with one mozambican mama. She's absolutely so sweet. I might not have much to give this time around unlike when i bought some grocery last time but my 100met was able to buy "kampala" for them to make some beds, i couldn't even buy her flip flops and hers was already broken when we are walking to her house so i end up walking back home barefoot, i left my flip flops with them since i can't buy her one but that taught me alot about Love. I actually enjoyed walking in the dirt barefoot walking for more than 10min knowing she will have something to wear. They don't have much richness of this world but they are super rich of love, generosity and kindness. My Amiga Mama Elena even made me a skirt as a gift for a friend. That totally wrecked me and broke my heart. Because I'm so amazed of their love and generosity. I'm not sure if I will be back in this place but if I do, I will definitely gonna see their family. Their family is full of joy and love, full of Jesus. Amazing! They even called us "FAMILY". One thing we can offer for them is prayer. One of the child have malaria so we prayed for her and by faith she will be healed, I know Jesus is healing her right now, one has fever and back pain and by Faith my Jesus is powerful enough and He will be healed by now and my mama Elena, her heart will be healed from the death of her husband! If you are reading this, it will be awesome to say a little prayer for their family. Speak a prayer of blessing and healing. 😊🙏🏻
It's so nice to have another Joao from bible school to actually accompany me and my friend Katie. I'm so thankful katie went with me to make things possible. It's nice to see two of the siblings are also going to Iris Bible school and they are so helpful as well. What a lovely family full of Jesus. Thank You Jesus for letting me experience this. You are always awesome! Go Low and Slow! Stop for the One! Love looks like something! These lines are the guidelines of Mama Heidi. God made me experienced it all with this lovely family. What can you give? Everyone has something. Choose to love today! 😊😊😊 Love not when it's easy but because of the fact that God loves you and me when we actually sinned against Him. #oneofthebestvillageexperienceofmine #love #lovelookslikesomething #family #friend #relationship #travelforJesus #thankful #blessed #africa #pemba #mozambique #hs24 #iris #onelife #Lifetothefullest #testimonyofGodslove #treasure #capturingthemoment #creatingmemories #followerofJesus |
