After being back in Singapore where my mission field currently is, I had encountered lots of testing after the mission school. It's like, after the school God immediately send me for a test, haha.. but anyways among all of the challenges and trials encountered both in ministry and personal life the greatest one is what happened to my family last November 15,2016. That tuesday night around 10:30 in the evening somebody broked in our house in the influence of drugs. My Dad was attacked pretty badly that night he got 7 stabs and my sister and law and my cousin both got stabs in the head and chest as well. That night while walking home with one of the church leader I had a chest pain and asked her if we can both pray and I am not even aware what's going on back home with my family in the Philippines. But of all that happened thank God they are all safe nOw. They all thought my Dad might not survived but miracles did happened that night. It's hard to believe for those who have not seen how Jesus protect us and our loved ones. When my Dad was stabbed in the face the knife blade broke. The blade penetrate pretty deep but my Dad got no injury inside his mouth and nobody can explain why. Then the guy went to our kitchen to get more knives and he attacked my sister in law trying to get in the kids room and he stabbed her in the head and again a miracle happened. The knife broke again so it was not that deep. Then he attacked my cousin and he stabbed her in the chest because she's helping out my sister in law. For the 3rd time the knife broke. He was able to scape out from our house but got caught by the neighbourhood. It was a scary news when I got it wednesday morning. So I flew back home friday night and seeing them all fine and well despite of the injuries and trauma to get recovered from, I am so thankful and amazed of how God have protected my family. Worst thing could have happened but by prayer and petition to God all things are possible. He honoured my prayer. My main concern as I do ministry away from my family is for God to keep them safe. God is indeed faithful and it was an amazing testimony of His divine protection and faithfulness. Nothing can ever snatch and take us away from our calling. In obedience there is fruitfulness.
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Phil. 4:6-7 Learning In Mcdonalds! Hahhahah I was really intrigued of Proverbs 25 this morning, so I find time tonight to have this serious study. So I read it again and finally searched some commentaries. What King solomon said in v2-3 won't go away from my mind. So, here are some commentaries,
Proverbs 25:3. The heaven for height, &c. — As no man upon earth can exactly discover the height of heaven, or the depth of earth, or discern what is contained in them; so, the heart of kings is unsearchable — Though wise kings will search out other men and things, yet their inward thoughts and purposes are hardly to be discovered, not only because every man’s heart lies out of the sight of others, but because it is the practice of kings industriously to conceal their intentions. Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary 25:1-3 God needs not search into any thing; nothing can be hid from him. But it is the honour of rulers to search out matters, to bring to light hidden works of darkness. 4,5. For a prince to suppress vice, and reform his people, is the best way to support his government. 6,7. Religion teaches us humility and self-denial. He who has seen the glory of the Lord in Christ Jesus, will feel his own unworthiness. 8-10. To be hasty in beginning strife, will bring into difficulties. War must at length end, and might better be prevented. It is so in private quarrels; do all thou canst to settle the matter. 11,12. A word of counsel, or reproof, rightly spoken, is especially beautiful, as fine fruit becomes still more beautiful in silver baskets. 13. See what ought to be the aim of him that is trusted with any business; to be faithful. A faithful minister, Christ's messenger, should be thus acceptable to us. 14. He who pretends to have received or given that which he never had, is like the morning cloud, that disappoints those who look for rain. 15. Be patient to bear a present hurt. Be mild to speak without passion; for persuasive language is the most effectual to prevail over the hardened mind. 16. God has given us leave to use grateful things, but we are cautioned against excess. At the end point, I was down with this question, "Do you think God intentionally hide things from our knowing as leaders or not even if it will cause damages to test us?" Well, i think yes. In His word God said, "but the glory of the king is to search out." I believe God is not playing hard to get but He have the intention of teaching us to give value of something. It is like the value we give on things that we really worked hard, it's the value we give for the man and woman once we find them and they are the one. It goes with the value we give for everything that took time for us to receive, achieve and to discover. And as a good leader of any type i believe it's also an added value if we end up searching what is the root of every problems and circumstances that has been happening under our leadership and able to give it the best Godly solution we can give. We might not always gonna make the perfect decisions in life but the moment we tried to seek, soak and solve problems with God we will surely gonna make that tight bond with God that will never be replaced with any hardship in life. Life many says, "CHARGE TO EXPERIENCE." 😊 Then we will surely moved on with the flow of Gods' grace and finally God will reveal it. He is a Father. He will surely let us seek things to teach us, but He will surely give the answer at the right time, we just need to be patient and faithful. 😊 Thank You Daddy God! A well spent Night @ Mcdonalds. Hahaaha I believe the next thing is to pray v4-5. It's the prayer of my heart right now, Lord Jesus, like when you take away the dross from silver, so it can go to silversmith and be a jewelry, Take away the wickedness from our heart and surely evrything under our dominion will be established in righteousness. Thank You Jesus! In Your mighty Name! Amen! |
