"Generation Curse and Blessings."
Last Night I was reading in 2 kings 22 about the wrath of God that will take place not because of One Offense but an accumulation of continious offense. I wrote down in my notes, "GENERATION CURSE" is really for real, so it reminds me of what we do today will truly impact and affect our next generation, we might not receive the judgement we deserve in our days but our children with inherit it. "11And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes. 12 And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king's, saying, 13 Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great isthe wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us. 14 So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her. 15 And she said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me, 16 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, evenall the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read: 17 Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched." Then today, i was reading Psalm 132 and it speaks as well of passing to the next generation and this time is is "GENERATION BLESSINGS". Truly it means again that whatever good deeds and righteousness we do today, regardless if people see or not our children will surely inherit the blessings and favours of the Lord. We might not receive the reward of that good deeds in our lifetime but truly our children will benefit from it. Psalm 132 10 For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed. 11 The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. 12 If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore. 13 For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation. 14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it. 15 I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread. 16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy. 17 There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed. 18 His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish. It leaves me with these thought, what do you really do today for God that you can leave to your children or the children of your children? Will it be a curse or a blessing? What are we really depositing and investing in the kingdom of God today that our children can actually get someday? 🤔🙏🏻🙌🏻 |
