I was listening to an online preaching on my way back home and i heard about this story which i find very hillarious yet it got a point, so i want to share it with you: Hooray For That Judge In Florida, an atheist became incensed over the preparation for Easter and Passover holidays and decided to contact the local ACLU about the discrimination inflicted on atheists by the constant celebrations afforded to Christians and Jews with all their holidays while the atheists had no holiday to celebrate. The ACLU jumped on the opportunity to once again pick up the cause of the godless and assigned their sharpest attorneys to the case. The case was brought before a wise judge who after listening to the long, passionate presentation of the ACLU lawyers, promptly banged his gavel and declared, “Case dismissed!” The lead ACLU lawyer immediately stood and objected to the ruling and said, “Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case? Surely the Christians have Christmas, Easter and many other observances. And the Jews–why in addition to Passover they have Yom Kippur and Hanukkah… and yet my client and all other atheists have no such holiday!”The judge leaned forward in his chair and simply said “Obviously your client is too confused to know about or for that matter even celebrate the atheists’ holiday!” The ACLU lawyer pompously said “We are aware of no such holiday for atheists, just when might that be, your honor?” The judge said, “Well it comes every year on exactly the same date—April 1st!” “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.'” – Psalm 14:1, Psalm 53:1 HOORAY FOR THAT JUDGE The story may have or may have not happened but we all know that there will be no end when it comes to the discussion about if there is God or not. Do you believe or not, it is your choice but many times in the bible it was mentioned that a fool is someone who do not believe in God, in His existence, His majesty and His presence. It is foolishness not to believe that is why I love this line i once came across in the internet: "It is better to believe in God and found out at the end that there is none rather than don't believe in God and unfortunately found out at the end that there is." I just added the word unfortunately because that is how i feel about them. It will be very unfortunate of anyone to be eternally condemned because they chose not to believe. It's always amazing how God works in my daily life. Before i even heard of the story I just shared, this morning before I went for my medical I played guitar for a while and worship the Lord and read my book. Suddenly at the middle of my reading i felt that urge to search for four square church and check if they really existed and they do. Their vision is Mark 16:15, almost the same as the great commission. The first time it strikes my heart and engraved in my inner being was when I heard it from Evangelist Daniel Kolenda. Mark 16:15 "And He said, go to all the world and preach the Gospel to all creatures." I was thinking the whole morning to write up something about this verse and God really made a way for His message to be delivered. It was just in time for that story. I read further until Mark 16:16 and it says: " He who believes and baptized will be saved but he who do not believe will be condemned. I don't know about you but that sounds scary to me, Being condemened for eternity. Fear the Lord, fear the thought of disrespecting God or offending Him. He is the God of Love, He loves everyone, He always does, but it is still our decision to accept Him and love Him back. If you are an atheist or someone who don't believe that Jesus is your Lord and Saviour right now, you might want to turn to the bible and read John 3:16. Jesus loves us. He wants to save us. He came to save and not to condemn the world that is why He asked His apostles and disciples to preach the Gospel to every creatures, to the whole world. He loves you and me and everyone. Just believe and accept it. Think about it! |
